Hi, I'm Alyssa!

Email + Website Copywriter

I help your business by writing clear copy that speaks directly to your ideal clients and compels them to take action.

Your business is great (obviously) and you want to get the word out.

But do you ever feel like you have all the right words to say…but as soon as you put pen to paper—or fingers to keyboard (hello 2025!)—your mind goes blank? Ever wish you could connect with the right people, getting them to notice why your product or service will benefit them?

That’s where I come in

I’m your classic Type A—yes, the kind who straightens crooked picture frames without thinking twice. A recovering perfectionist (still attending the 12-step program), I’ve always had one foot in creativity and the other in structure. That balance showed up early: at age 12, I was writing my first short story while also following a detailed, daily to-do list…for fun.

Why am I telling you all of this?

Because my love for a well-crafted audience journey and strategic planning started at a young age and is the basis for how I approach all my projects. It’s ingrained in me…down to the very core.

With almost 16 years of writing experience (yes, I’ve been around for a while) under my belt, I have what it takes to craft clear and appealing content that will attract more customers and generate profit. When working with me, you can trust that I won’t miss the small details, that I’ll work until we both love the final copy, and that you will always be my highest priority.

Basically, I love what I do and want to work with you!

Some of the industries I’ve written for:

HR Tech

Office Space Suites

Project Documentation

Retirement Planning

Non-Profit

Bridal Hair & Beauty

Math Education

Health & Wellness

Web Designers

Veterinary Surgical Equipment

And more…

Some fun tidbits about me

  • When I’m not working, you’ll find me spinning in all directions, mothering my two overly rambunctious boys—just trying to keep them from breaking a bone…or any item in my house.

  • I’m the peanut butter to my husband’s jelly. I keep our world turning while he flaunts his sexy army uniform, flies beastly helicopters, and consistently kills it at being the best human ever (ok, that last part is only half true).

  • Running is my therapy. It keeps me sane. Also, therapy is my therapy…like real, sit on a couch and pour out your problems to a licensed professional kind of therapy.

  • I have strong opinions about the Oxford comma. And if you choose not to use it, I’ll probably secretly judge you.

  • If you’re wondering, then yes, I regularly sit on my kitchen counter with an empty glass of “coffee” and my hair and makeup perfectly done. Who doesn’t?!

  • I’m hardcore loyal, and will always put honesty before “trying to play the game.” Micah 6:8

The Resume

2002-2008

Two smiling women with long hair in a cozy, dimly lit indoor setting, one with straight brown hair and the other with curly blonde hair, sitting close together. There is a drink with a straw on the right side of the image.

I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design and a minor in English. And yes, it did take me 6 years…it’s a long story. After attending 3 different universities (and a lot of credits not transferring), I finally graduated!

2009-2012

A couple and their dog sitting on rocks with a mountainous landscape in the background.

Looking for work in graphic design, I somehow landed a Technical Writing job. I helped write and edit manuals that were used for building Satellites. Yes, totally out of left field but I loved it.

2012-2013

Two women taking a selfie in a stadium with red bleacher seats behind them.

My Technical Writing contract ended and I needed another job quickly. So I worked as an administrative assistant for a law firm. Detail and organization are my secret powers so I felt right at home here.

2013-2021

A smiling woman with long brown hair and blue eyes, wearing a white t-shirt and a turquoise necklace, and a man with short dark hair and blue eyes, wearing a plaid shirt, posing closely outdoors with a blurred green background.

I joined a Retirement Planning company as a Communications Specialist in marketing and spent the next 8 years honing in on my writing and design skills and learning all about B2B marketing.

2021-NOW

A woman with long light brown hair, wearing a pink and black leopard print shirt, a white smartwatch, and a wedding ring, resting her chin on her hand while looking at the camera inside a room with a window with blinds and a potted plant.

Covid hit and we all went a little crazy, right? That’s when I decided to quite my full-time marketing job and start my copywriting business. Best decision ever.

Notes from clients

“Alyssa has been an incredible thought partner and writing partner for me for over three years. She took a subject matter that was brand new to her, dug in and learned it quickly, and has been someone I have been able to count on time and again.”

— ELIZABETH Y., Untangled

“After working with Alyssa, we gained so much more than what we were looking for. We are now able to express our views and captivate our audience with less dialogue. On top of that, we went page by page with our website, creating a guide to follow to help with organization and creating an overall symmetrical look to our website.”

MORGAN, Veterinary Solutions Direct

“Alyssa is a leader who contributes positively to team culture. Her "get-it-done" attitude is a huge asset when multiple projects and priorities are competing for time and attention. Alyssa can be trusted to see projects through from conception to completion and is a key player on the team.”

— JESSICA B.

“Alyssa really takes the time to get to know you, your product and helps you define your target audience in order to provide you with the best copy. She’s fantastic and easy to work with. Very professional, organized, and accommodating.”

— MARIA T., Sweet Lemon Designs

“Alyssa’s dynamic approach to her work instantly stood out to me, as early as our first (Zoom) interview. She brought invaluable insight and stellar work ethic to the projects we worked on together, and her consistency and follow through strongly stand out. I always looked forward to our strategy meetings, when Alyssa would be smiling, grounded, and ready to find the best solution for each project we would uncover. She would find an approach that emphasized our company’s voice, while creating efficiency and maximizing the hours we had to dedicate to our marketing endeavors. She created a brand, both visually and through her creative copywriting, that felt like us - a concept we had been struggling with for years, and Alyssa captured it within the first few sessions of working together. I would take the opportunity to work with her again in a heartbeat, as her ability to listen, learn, and hone a company’s unique voice and values is unparalleled.”
